Start with listening
Before a story becomes a film, a photograph or a cap, someone has to listen.
That is where FRNKLN VAULT begins. With the belief that a person does not need a public profile or an extraordinary achievement for their experience to matter. The work they put in. The place they call home. Something they lost. Something they are still trying to understand.
Tell Your Story is an invitation to make room for those experiences. To hear people in their own words, without asking them to turn their lives into a polished pitch.
Los Angeles is home, and the starting point. We want to pay attention to the people and independent businesses around us: what they are making, what keeps them going, and the details that would be easy to pass by.
The Vault is where those stories belong. A collection can end. A Chapter can be archived. The story stays.
These Field Notes will be a place for observations, work in progress and the thinking behind what we make. This first entry is a statement of intent. The conversations themselves come next, with the people who choose to share them.
Every Story is Forever.
Every Chapter is Temporary.
